Watch out for

Cancelling a paid plan downgrades you to the free ad-supported tier — you do not lose your account entirely
Subscribed via Apple or Google Play? Cancel through your device settings, not on the Crunchyroll website
No refunds for the current billing period — monthly, quarterly, or annual
Annual subscribers keep Premium access until their full annual period ends before reverting to free

Step by step

1
Go to crunchyroll.com and sign in with your account
2
Click your profile icon in the top right corner
3
Select Account Settings from the dropdown menu
4
Click Membership in the left-hand menu
5
Click Cancel Membership
6
Select a cancellation reason and click Continue
7
Click Confirm Cancellation — you keep Premium access until your billing period ends, then revert to the free ad-supported tier

On iPhone / iPad

1
Open iOS Settings and tap your name at the top
2
Tap Subscriptions
3
Find Crunchyroll and tap it
4
Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm

Before you cancel

💡Cancelling Crunchyroll Premium downgrades your account to the free ad-supported tier — you do not lose your account, queue, or watch history. You can still watch many simulcast series with ads.
💡Annual and quarterly subscribers keep Premium access until the end of their full paid period — there is no pro-rata refund.
💡If you subscribed through Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel through those platforms directly. The Crunchyroll website cannot cancel third-party billing.
💡Your queue (watchlist) and episode progress are saved regardless of plan tier and will be restored if you upgrade again.

What happens to your account

After cancellation

After cancellation, your Crunchyroll account reverts to the free ad-supported tier once your paid period ends. You retain access to your queue, watch history, and all free-tier content. Premium-only episodes and simulcasts become unavailable on the free plan.

When billing stops

Crunchyroll stops billing you as soon as you confirm cancellation. You will not be charged again. There is no refund for unused days in the current billing period. Annual subscribers receive no refund for remaining months.

How to reactivate

To reactivate a Premium plan, sign back into crunchyroll.com and choose a Fan, Mega Fan, or Ultimate Fan plan. Your queue, watch history, and episode progress are fully preserved on the free tier and immediately accessible again on Premium.

1
Go to crunchyroll.com and sign in with your original email and password (your account still exists on the free tier)
2
Click Try Premium or Upgrade on the homepage or account settings
3
Choose your plan — Fan, Mega Fan, or Ultimate Fan (monthly, quarterly, or annual)
4
Enter or confirm your payment details
5
Premium access is restored immediately and your queue and watch history are unchanged
