Step by step

Go to discoveryplus.com and sign in with your account

Click your profile icon in the top right corner

Select Account from the dropdown menu

Click Subscription Plan

Click Cancel Subscription and follow the confirmation prompts

You keep full access until the end of your current billing period

On iPhone / iPad

Open iOS Settings and tap your name at the top

Tap Subscriptions

Find Discovery+ and tap it

Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm

Before you cancel

💡Discovery+ offers two tiers: ad-supported (cheaper) and ad-free. If cost is the reason you are cancelling, consider switching to the ad-supported plan instead.

💡If you subscribed via Amazon Prime Video Channels, cancel through your Amazon account — go to Prime Video → Settings → Subscriptions, find Discovery+, and cancel there.

💡Downloads stop working immediately when your billing period ends, even if you cancel in advance. Watch or download anything important before your subscription expires.

💡Discovery+ includes content from Discovery, Eurosport, and Animal Planet — check if the shows you watch most are available on a free service like All 4 before cancelling.

What happens to your account

After cancellation

Your Discovery+ account remains fully active until the last day of your current billing period. After that date you lose access to all content and any downloads are removed. Your profile and viewing history are retained for a limited period if you resubscribe.

When billing stops

Discovery+ stops billing you as soon as you confirm cancellation. You will not be charged again. There is no pro-rata refund for unused days in the current billing period.

How to reactivate

To reactivate, sign back into discoveryplus.com and choose a plan. You can resubscribe at any time and your account will be restored. Your viewing history may be available depending on how long ago you cancelled.

Click Subscribe on the homepage

Choose your plan — ad-supported or ad-free

Enter or confirm your payment details

Your subscription starts immediately and your viewing history is restored
