Watch out for

No refunds for the current billing period — monthly or annual
Annual subscribers keep access until the full annual period ends, not just the current month
Subscribed via Apple or Google Play? Cancel through your device settings, not on the MUBI website — the Cancel button may not appear
Your film queue and watch history are preserved after cancellation and restored if you resubscribe

Step by step

1
Go to mubi.com and sign in with your account
2
Click your profile icon in the top right corner
3
Select Settings from the dropdown menu
4
Click Billing & Subscription in the left-hand menu
5
Click Cancel Subscription
6
Follow the confirmation prompts — access continues until the end of your current billing period

On iPhone / iPad

1
Open iOS Settings and tap your name at the top
2
Tap Subscriptions
3
Find MUBI and tap it
4
Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm

Before you cancel

💡MUBI rotates its film library — films in your queue may no longer be available if you resubscribe later. Consider watching anything in your queue before cancelling.
💡Annual subscribers keep full access until the end of their annual period, not just the end of the current month. You may have months of access remaining.
💡If you subscribed through Apple or Google Play, the Cancel button on the MUBI website will not work. Cancel via iOS Settings → Subscriptions or Google Play → Subscriptions instead.

What happens to your account

After cancellation

Your MUBI account remains fully active until the end of your current billing period. After that date you lose access to MUBI's film library. Your watchlist (film queue) and viewing history are preserved and will be restored if you resubscribe.

When billing stops

MUBI stops billing you as soon as you confirm cancellation. You will not be charged again. There is no pro-rata refund for unused days in the current billing period. Annual subscribers receive no refund for remaining months.

How to reactivate

To reactivate, sign back into mubi.com and choose a subscription plan. Your film queue and watch history are automatically restored when you resubscribe, regardless of how long ago you cancelled.

1
Go to mubi.com and sign in with your original email and password
2
Click Subscribe or Get MUBI on the homepage
3
Choose your plan — monthly or annual (annual saves around 25%)
4
Enter or confirm your payment details
5
Your film queue and watch history are restored automatically
